4. .... οὕτω καὶ ὁ κίβδηλος καὶ Σωτάδειος Ἄρειος ὑποκρίνεται μὲν ὡς περὶ Θεοῦ λέγων, παρεντιθεὶς τὰς τῶν Γραφῶν λέξεις, ἐλέγχεται δὲ πανταχόθεν Ἄρειος ἄθεος, ἀρνούμενος τὸν Υἱὸν, καὶ τοῖς ποιήμασιν αὐτὸν συναριθμῶν. |
5. Ἡ μὲν οὖν ἀρχὴ τῆς Ἀρειανῆς Θαλείας και κουφολογίας, ἧθος ἔχουσα καὶ μέλος θηλυκὸν, αὕτη· |

Ἄρειος καὶ οἱ σὺν αὐτῷ φρονήσαντες, καὶ λέγοντες, «Ἐξ οὐκ ὄντων πεποίηκε τὸν Ὑἱὸν ὁ Θεὸς, καὶ κέκληκεν ἑαυτῷ Υἱόν· ἓν τῶν κτισμάτων ἐστὶν ὁ τοῦ Θεοῦ Λόγος,» καὶ «Ἦν ποτε, ὅτε οὐκ ἦν· τρεπτὸς δέ ἐστι, δυνάμενος, ὅτε βούλεται, τραπῆναι» ἐξεβλήθησαν τῆς Ἐκκλησίας παρὰ τοῦ μακαρίτου Ἀλεξάνδρου. |
15. Ἀλλ' ἐκβληθεὶς καὶ ἐπιτριβεὶς Ἄρειος παρὰ τῶν περὶ Εὐσέβιον συνέθηκεν ἑαυτοῦ τὴν αἵρεσιν ἐν χάρτῃ, καὶ ὡς ἐν Θαλίᾳ ζηλώσας οὐδένα τῶν φρονίμων, ἀλλὰ τὸν Αἰγύπτιον Σωσάτην ἐν τῷ ἤθει καὶ τῇ ἐκλύσει τοῦ μέλους, γράφει μὲν πολλά, ἀπὸ μέρους δέ ἐστιν αὐτοῦ ταῦτα· |
